Raag Description: Raag Jogeshwari is a very melodious and straightforward Raag, which is created by Pt. Ravi Shankar. This is a fine blending of Raag Jog in Poorvang and Raag Rageshree in Uttarang. Poorvang is dominated by Jog like S G m ; G m (S)g S ; g S ,n ; ,n S S G ; S g S. In Uttarang Rageshree dominates, like G m D m ; m D G m ; D n S' ; S' n D ; n D m.
This is a Meend Pradhan Raag like Raag Jog. This Raag can be rendered freely in all the three Octaves and it creates a rather deep atmosphere. Following combinations are illustrative of the Raag:
