The Book ‘Acharya Tanarang ki Bandishen Vol 2’ is a collection of 405 Bandishen in 31 Raags, written and composed by Acharya Vishwanath Rao Ringe ‘Tanarang’.
This Book was launched in a grand inauguration ceremony held in Indore on Dec 11th, 2015, on the occasion of 10th death anniversary of Acharya Tanarang. The Book was released by Dr. Leelawati Adsule, a prominent musician and retired head of music department of Rajasthan University, Jaipur. Dr. Adsule is a prominent thinker and also an author. She has written a few books which also include her own compositions. She has also been a guide for more than 30 PhD students.
The book release was followed by a thematic musical concert “Acharya Tanarang Ki Bandishon Mein Krishna Leela” by well known singer Mrs. Kalpana Zokarkar, daughter and disciple of Late Shri Mama Sahab Majumdar. The program was based on Acharya Tanarang’s compositions on Lord Krishna describing Lord Krishna’s Birth, his childhood, his mischiefs with Radha and other gopies. To accompany Mrs. Zokarkar were Ms. Sangeeta Agnihotri on tabla, Ms. Rachna Sharma on the harmonium and Shri. Anupam Wankhede on flute. The program which was hosted by Mrs. Sugandha Behere, also saw new talents like Ms. Kanakshree Bhatt and Ms. Anuja Zokarkar. Please click here to see the pictures of the Program.
