Raag Yamani Bilawal is a combination of Raag Yaman and Raag Bilawal. The way this Raag is rendered is more closely inspired by Raag Bilawal. Teevra Madhyam in this Raag gives an indication of Raag Yaman. In Aaroh, Madhyam Teevra is used as – S R G P ; M P ; G m G R ; G R S ; G m D P ; M P ; D M P ; G m R G ; P m G R S ; D N S’ N D P ; M P ; G m G R ; G R S ;

Shuddha Madhyam is freely used without any restrictions. In Avroh, Komal Nishad can be used very rarely or not at all. To showcase the Bilawal Ang in this Raag – S R G should be used more instead of ,N R G (which is symbolic of Raag Yaman).

Some experts classify this Raag as Shadhav – Sampurna, but Sampurna – Sampurna seems more accurate. To separate this Raag from the impression of Raag Devgiri Bilawal, these notes are used repeatedly – P M P ; G m G R ; G R S.

Some experts classify this Raag in Kalyan Thaat because of Teevra Madhyam, but this Raag is more closer to Bilawal hence, Bilawal Thaat is more accurate. Resting Notes of this Raag is Shadj, Gandhar and Pancham. This Raag can be freely expanded in all the three octaves.
