Raag Hemant is a very melodious Raag. In Raag Kaushik Dhwani when Pancham and Rishabh are used in Avroh, Raag Hemant is conceived. In this Raag, Rishabh is used as a straight note like G R S whereas use of Pancham is somewhat Alp and is used either in Meend or as a Kan-Swar like D (P)m or m (P)m.

This Raag creates a deep and soothing atmosphere which may be easily expandable in all the octaves. The following combinations of notes clearly bring out the Raag mood –
