Raag Jaldhar Kedar is similar to Raag Durga if the notes are compared. But this Raag is sung with Kedar Ang and while performing one should make stop on Madhyam to make the Kedar Ang clear. For example: S R S m ; m R P m ; D P m ; S D P D P m ; m R P m ; S m R P ; D P m ; P m R S. In Raag Durga, m R P ; m R ,D S is rendered whereas in Jaldhar Kedar m R P ; m R S ; S R S m is rendered and not m R ,D S.
To signify this Raag, one should use m R – R P Sangati (Malhar Ang). This Raag is sung in Madhya Saptak and Tar Saptak. This Raag is also sung anytime in Rainy season. Following are the illustrative combinations of Raag Jaldhar Kedar:
S R S ; S R S S m ; m R R P m ; P D P m ; m R P m ; R S ; S ,D ,P ; ,m ,P ,D S R m ; S R S R P P m ; m P D S’ ; S’ R’ S’ ; R’ S’ D P m ; m P m R S ;
