Raag Ramdasi Malhar is a very melodious Raag but not much in vogue. This Raag is created by Akbar’s Darbar Gayak Ramdas Ji. This Raag has both Gandhars, this makes it very different from other forms of Malhar.
Komal Gandhar is used in Vakra form in Avroh like: P g m R S. These notes are almost always used to end Aalaps or Taans. In this Raag Madhyam-Rishabh, Rishabh-Pancham, and Nishad-Pancham Sangati is used. This Raag can be expanded in Madhya and Tar Saptaks. It creates a soothing and heavy atmosphere.
